I’m an M.D., MPH, MClinSci and am now a Research Associate at Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI), School of Translational Health Science, at University of Adelaide, South Australia.
I have previously worked as a specialist physician in public health medicine. Here I spent a lot of time involved with multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary teams in the fields of evidence-based healthcare, health policy analysis, clinical practice guidelines development, health promotion and social marketing.
I have a book on conducting systematic reviews of economic evidence (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Philadelphia, 2011), a book on statistics for systematic reviews (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Philadelphia, 2012), and am a co-author of the EUnetHTA Handbook on HTA Capacity Building (European Union Network of Health Technology Assessment EUnetHTA, Barcelona, 2008).
In the last five years I have peer reviewed more than 100 systematic review protocols and systematic review reports. I am an accredited JBI Comprehensive Systematic Review (CSR) trainer with more than five years CSR teaching experience.
I am Associate Investigator at NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Aboriginal Chronic Disease Knowledge Translation and Exchange (CREATE) and the scientific administrator of the Mental Health Node of the JBI Connect collection.
